Members Supporting Members

Through the sharing of knowledge and expertise with members, we are supporting them in their genealogical research. In addition to our regular meetings we have a DNA special interest group that meets regularly to help each other with the ongoing changes with genetic genealogy.

Data Preservation

Our genealogy group maintains a Vital Statistics Database and Cemetery Records for the Powell River area. We have our own private genealogy library, with many local history books, as well as other resources from throughout Canada and the United States. We are a non-profit genealogy group and an affiliate of the British Columbia Genealogical Society.

If you have a research request for the Powell River area, please use the contact form (use "Research Request" in the subject line) and send us your request with a detailed message. There will be a reasonable fee charged and the amount will vary in proportion to the effort required to fulfill the request.
