On Saturday May 11, 2024 the Powell River Genealogy Group hosted and educational session with Karen Inkster Vance. Karen is a writer, presenter, interviewer, researcher and story-keeper. She delivered two excellent presentations to an eager group of genealogy enthusiasts. The first presentation was titled "Snapshot Stories" and went over how to analyze all aspects of photographs to help build a more interesting family history story. The second presentation was titled "Ancestors in Context" and described what questions to ask about your ancestors and building time-lines to build a strong foundation for a good genealogical biography.
